My goal is to provide a nonjudgemental, compassionate, and relaxed space for you (like going for coffee with a good listener). My focus areas include anxiety, depression, panic attacks and life changes. I love working with all ages and genders but specialize in working with women in transitional times (graduation, new adulthood, adjusting to family changes). I will work with you to create a deeper connection within yourself. The goal from here is to allow your "true self" to guide decisions and let that lead the change in your life you are seeking. I'm passionate about helping clients slow down from the buzzing world around them and tap into their own strength and inner wisdom. I enjoy helping clients understand all of their "parts" so emotions don't feel so overwhelming and jumbled up. Sessions can range from learning new skills, to venting, to processing deep rooted core beliefs. I follow your lead. Beginning a search for a therapist can feel uncomfortable, confusing, and overwhelming, especially if you've never done it before. I am happy to ease the process by describing what a session may look like or answering any other questions you have. Feel free to email me or call to get started.

It is my belief that within each of us, the mind, body, and spirit work in unison to maintain a sense of balance and wellness. However, there are times when we may encounter challenges and unanticipated events that may cause a disturbance in these areas, which may be evidenced by undesirable thoughts, feelings or behaviors. I have the required training, licensure and experience to practice individual, group, and marriage/family counseling with all age groups encompassing a general range of presenting problems/concerns. My experience includes working with individuals of all ages to resolve problems, work through life transitions, and learn to live and experience life in a more successful and pleasurable way. I have experience working with clients who suffer from: PTSD, crisis, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, addictions, anxiety/depression, ADHD, Autism, and grief/loss It is my goal to provide a safe, supportive, and appropriately challenging environment that encourages hope and personal growth. Your sense of balance and wellness is top priority as we work together to develop individualized coping skills to increase your potential as a fully capable and dynamic individual.

Working with a therapist can help children and teens learn how to handle past, present, and future challenges. Everyone is unique, so the techniques I use with individuals may differ, but one thing remains true: everyone has the ability within themselves for a great potential for change and growth. However, some challenges in life can cause this ability to be hindered. As a therapist, my job is to facilitate growth by meeting the child or teen where they are at and letting them know they are seen and heard. With children, I use a developmentally appropriate approach to counseling called play therapy. Children do not have the words and abstract thinking to verbalize and process their thoughts. Play is language for the child, and toys are their words. When life seems unpredictable and change comes, I am here to offer support through changing seasons. When you are ready, it would be an honor to journey alongside of you and your children while you navigate life.
